  • The first time you start your Sony Xperia XA1, a setup guide opens to help you configure basic settings, sign in to some accounts, and personalise your device.
  • 1. Select the required language and touch GET STARTED.
  • 2. Ensure that I am aware of the important information is checked and touch ACCEPT.
  • 3. Touch NEXT.
  • 4. Touch the desired option (e.g., Set up as new).
  • 5. Touch the required Wi-Fi network.
  • 6. Enter the required password.
  • 7. Once entered, touch CONNECT.
  • 8. Checking network…. will appear briefly.
  • 9. Sign in to your Google account or create a new one. To sign in, enter your Google account email address and touch NEXT.

    Note: A Google account is needed to take advantage of Android features such as Device Protection, Gmail, Google Hangouts and Google Play Store.
  • 10. Enter the Google account password and touch NEXT.
  • 11. Touch ACCEPT.
  • 12. Review and select/deselect Google services. Touch v to scroll down.
  • 13. Touch NEXT.
  • 14. Touch the desired screen lock option (e.g., PIN).
  • 15. Touch No, thanks.
  • 16. Enter a PIN.
  • 17. Touch CONTINUE.
  • 18. Re-enter your PIN number.
  • 19. Touch the Next icon.
  • 20. Touch NOT NOW.
  • 21. Touch SKIP.
  • 22. Touch FINISH.
  • 23. The initial phone setup will be complete and ready to use.
